British & German graves, Somme

In the middle of a the huge Serre Road British cemetery on the Somme, “zwei unbekannte deutsche soldaten” - “two unknown German soldiers”. On its right, an unknown British soldier - Kipling’s “Known Unto God” inscribed on its base, as with every unknown soldier’s grave on the Somme.
